Bt was just bitter, then again he had been bitter on a lot of things for fifteen years, and held grudges against everyone and anyone. Those who actually knew him, which he could quite imagine this Bruce would understand, would know that he had hated the ways things parted between him and Dick.
And it had not been Bt that left the rift; it had been Richard. But, obviously, Bt had been too stubborn to ever make the effort to patch that up until recently.
